The Beginning…

My first post! Let me take a moment here and soak up the feeling…WOW…so that’s how cool you all must feel! I check several blogs each day and I truly enjoy getting the scoop on your day, week or some of you every other month…Martin…Marc…Dan! At least your not like Bernard! (Smiling)

Anyways, you might be wondering what the scoop is with my title? A Gem Well Taken…it all started when Ryan set up my email address with cox, he tried the standard (boring) address, which is usually first and last name and of course with a name like mine wouldn’t you know it was taken. So to make a long story short he used part of my first, middle and last name and came up with jem.larson. He was so excited, not only did he finally get one to work but it actually means something…that I was his jem “gem”!

I took that to heart and really pondered it. A gem is rare, beautiful, unique and precious. You can also view a gem as treasured or esteemed. There is so much more to be said about the beauty of a gem, however what is beautiful here is that Ryan sees the gem in me. So to say the least I feel like a gem well taken!

We all are gems, each and every one of us! My goal is to take time each week and find that in someone new!
